I enjoyed the movie so much and wanted to find out more about this River character that I bought the Firefly series. My brother and I watched every episode over the Christmas holidays and cant imagine how this series was canceled. The tongue in cheek humor, the comraderie, the western space theme, all great. Ive now watched all the commentary as well. River Tam is just one of nine characters that the series builds on (in fact her role in the movie was much greater than her role in the series ... esp the early episodes). In the later commentary on the DVD, there is talk of 2 additional movie sequels if it gets the support. It has mine.
