This was the best movie of the fall so far.. You will thoroughly enjoy it. A true story of the African American to win the Heisman Trophy- Ernie Davis, a guy most folks under 40 have never heard of.

This is the best movie of the fall so far. A true mini epic that will have have you cheering at the end. It is a touching movie with endearing characters that you will love. This is Spike finest work to date. Please see this movie this weekend and then tell your friends to see it too. Expect it to be mentioned a lot during award season.

If you liked "I am Legend" but looking for a similar plot with more action, then this movie is actually better than that one. Ignore the prior reviews of this being a bad movie. Other user reviews on the (IMBD) website have at least 50 people all giving the movie at least 8 out of 10 stars. Go see it please. It begs a sequel..

This movie had a lot of funny scenes and spots sprinkled thru out the movie and the audience I saw with out here in SoCal laughed continiously and got 95% of all of the jokes and gags. Since this was a Ferrelly Brothers pic, you had to expect one or two over the top scenes that are to gross to mention, but everyone remembers it. The scene on the beach was enough to move this movie to crude, but overall I liked the movie very much and my wife gave it a thumbs up despite some gross scenes. Not sure why the brothers just didn't grab Cameron Diaz to play the role of wife since the actress who played her looked like a carbon copy of her. Young Stiller needs to play more roles with his dad as their chemistry was great and Michele Monaghan was sweet as the other "woman". In terms of comparing it to the original 1972 movie, it has been a while since I saw that one, but I am sure it was not as funny as this one.

Doesn't Jodie Foster have a similar movie coming out in a couple weeks with a similar plot line? The Brave One

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie!!!! A real crowd pleaser. it was funny and sensitvie and told a story that many of us need to see & hear about!!! Please go see this movie on the the big screen before they pull it. Definite awards considerations for Cheadle and Edjifor...well maybe to Ms. Henson too.

Wished Naomie Harris could had returned to be a hero (maybe flying the Helicopter in the end.). Only complaint was the jumpy camera in the beginning, but definitely thought it was better than the first, and if it can generate enough box office and DVD sales and rentals, we will see if the Paris can will be saved....28 months later...

I read some of the reviews and almost decided to pass on it. But after being bored by Sandy Bullocks Premonition, I decided I needed a chuckle or two and was pleasantly suprised by the humor and story line. Yes the language was very crude, ( and that was probably the reason why my wife didnt like it,) but I only saw one family get up an leave and shortly there after the father came back in (must of told his kids to go to another movie). Maybe if a more seasoned director had handled those duties, the movie may have been better, but I thought Chris did good job of writing, directing and starring in it. Seems like some people just dont appreciate Mr. Rocks humor if it is in an acting role. I think C-Rock needs to pair himself up with Will Smith or Denzel in a movie and broaden his audience beyond the hard comedy circuit.... Ignore the negative reviews and go support mr rock and see the movie...you will enjoy it. Both Kerry and Gina give good performances too.

Me and the wife went to see this movie yesterday afternoon. We live in suburb of LA some 60 miles out. The theater was packed with a mostly African American crowd despite the community being just the opposite. I wasnt impressed with the previews, but was intrigued by the cast. Once the characters and their histories were intorduced the movie looked and felt combo of mish mash...and just too noisy. But a quarter of the way through it, the plot thickened as they say and it got interesting. I loved the love story of the Percy and Sally, and Rooster despite his faults was a likeable character. Will it win an NCAAP Image award? No, but it was very entertaining and I highly recommend it.
