It was the first time that I had been to a movie and it was a unision reaction, everybody sreamed and jumped at the same time. The plot was wonderful, it was in other words well thought out. The actors fit the part really good. Though you could definitly tell that it was Science-Fiction, for which you'll have to see for yourself why. There were a couple of things that are cons though. There was alot of running, drinking, yelling, and some cusing. I highly reccemend this movie, very good and very understandable. Was this review helpful? I think this movie is going to be the best comedy of the summer, seriously. Yes I am talking about the movie The Day After Tomorrw. I think the graphics are just too good and the script is just, well, pretty corny. There is a part in the movie where the son is in New York and the big tidal wave is taking over the city. He calls his dad and explains the situation to him and the dad says to him,"Son, what ever you do, don't go outside...." The son is in a bad situation and the dad is telling him not to go outside!? How dumb can the boy be if he is in an academic competition for his high school. Dad I know you thought I was dumb, but I didn't think you ment I was stupid. Don't get me wrong people, this is a really great movie, just needed help to make a scary movie, unless they were going for the comedy. And if you are afraid to go see it, just keep my words in mind, 'Find the funny things in it and laugh out loud!' Well thank you for reading my review and enjoy the movie. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 4 users found this helpful Magically GreatPosted: 6/15/2004A review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by Emu751 This is a favorite movie of mine. This is a must add to your list of summer movies, so do that right now, or wait till you read my review. It is different than the other two and that might be what makes it better. There is a new Mexican director, Alfonso Cuaron, a new Dumbledore, Micheal Gambon, which was due to the death of Richard Harris. The new dirctor has added humor to it and I think has let the actors be more like themselves, but still stay to character. You can't really tell the difference between the different Dumbledores, but still there is the uniquence between them acting. Harry is a little more able to stand up to the Dursley's and the scene where he does that is one of the best! It is funny, but real meaningful. He is also learning more about his family and who really was behind it all, which is very interesting. He also finds his godfather! Hermione and Ron have an interesting relationship that you will have to see for yourself. And if you like the Fat Lady in the picture, there is more of here. If you don't know much about Harry Potter than I would read the books, that gives you alot of information, and if you have free time then maybe look through the channels, there are sometimes things on that and it gives alot of behind the scenes information. I advice you to go see this movie, and it is a family movie, alittle scary, but it gets better and you foreget about the scary parts. Thank you for reading my review and enjoy the movie! This is a good movie to watch in History class, if you are working on intergration. There are a couple of gliches in the movie that might me noticed if you know alot about Virginia high school football. The state championship came, in real life, was played at Victory Statium in Ronoake, Virginia [=)]and the team was Andrew Lewis High School, back when it was still around. In the movie, if I am correct, the statium was called something else and the team wasn't Andrew Lewis. Also, the scoring was wrong, the Titans shut-downed the other team. They made the scoring close to make it more intense for the viewers! During the end credits it tells what happened to the real people, so that is interesting to read. Please see this movie, even though it is already out on DvD and VhS. This is definetly a family movie. Thank you for reading Was this review helpful? The book is still slightly different from the movie, but still just as good. It might be a little scary, if you freak out real easy, so be aware throughout the movie to keep you unembarassed for screaming. Ok? One of my favorite parts is when they show the flashbacks and when down in the basement fighting. The whole movie is great though! The only thing that you might not like is the talking of "it" in the walls, that was freaky the first time I saw it, and that is unnormal. If you get it on DVD you should look at the extras if you don't understand it, the movie that is. If you are looking for a good movie to show at a sleep over or as a family movie, pick this one for one of the movies. And if you are worried about it being a fantasy with witch-craft and you being a christian wathcing it, don't be because the only reason you would need to be worried is if you or someone in your family imitating the witch-craft excesivly. If you are lost then here is a shorter version of that, CHRISTAINS CAN SEE THIS MOVIE TO!! Ok! Thank you for reading and see this movie! Was this review helpful? It just was too long and too boring. The story would never end, by the time that they met the last time, I was half asleep of bordom! And that is rare! If you enjoy really long movies with deja vu events, then you will love it. Also if you like too many story lines in one story line, then you will love it. Me...no. I gave one star for the choice of actors and another for the cool clothes. Other than that, it was a waist of time and money. All of the actors fit their part real well. I think all the scences are good but the one I think everyone will enjoy the most is the last scence, I won't ruin it for you who haven't seen it yet. For you who get the DVD you have to watch the bluppers on the second disk, of course after you see the movie. Some of the extras are interesting. Though the one thing I love the most about the movie is there are no failings in the movie. If you don't like realistic skelotons then I won't watch it by yourself. Hope you love it and by the way if you don't notice Will Turner is Legoloas from LOTR, Orlando Bloom. Was this review helpful? It wasn't one that took Elijah to the top but he was so adorable. This movie was very interesting and for you who aren't fimilar with Huck Finn he's a boy who doesn't have a family and he is friends with Tom Sawyer. This movie shows one of the many adventures of Huck Finn. Along with him on this one is a black runaway. Even though they are both trying to go to only one place they have many side track adventures on their way.
