I have to say that The Hitcher was much better than all the horror movies Ive seen in the past few years. It was not too cheesey and I would say its much more of a thriller than horror. It was interesting to see a killer who actually thought out his plan and didnt just go around hacking teens to bits! Of course, we still have a few of the same old stuff...two good-looking young people, driving across some desert area, old car, seedy motels, that kind of stuff. But overall better than the junk theyve put out lately. Its not going to win any awards, but for a check your brain at the door movie its pretty good. Was this review helpful? I do agree with the other reviews which state that the end has an interesting twist. Unfortunately, the rest of the movie just seems to drag on and on. Frankly, just getting Kate Hudson to the "HooDoo House" seemed to take up half of the movie. Being from the Caribbean, I've seen this hoodoo,voodoo,obea,witchcraft stuff and I guess they tried to stay true to the "religion" that is hoodoo.
If you've got a thing for Hudson then, you may enjoy the fact that she seems to be in tank tops and tight bottms throughout a good portion of the film. I wouldn't spend theater money on this film....I would probably give it a dvd rental. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-2 of 2 Per Page |
