It was a funny, dark, scary, mysterious, devilish, amazing film. The big guy with the air can...what an innovative IDEA! man that was something else. I love the fact that they ended like there should have been another part of the movie...that they burned by accedent...or something...could have had a better ending but thats just been happening ALL OVER THE PLACE the golden compass is the same way. JEEZ! I like the fact that it was quiet and then all of a sudden ACTION PACKED then quiet and then mysterious and then OMG! then some things that made no sense and then the end...it was good. THIS MOVIE WAS OUT OF MY MIND ANNOYING! if it were me...as one of the agents sent to not only kill another agent but to be killed in the process...i would join up and KILL THE BASTARDS WHO HIRED US! but...thats just me...not to mention...I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE STORY! one minuet you're killing the guy who hires you and then he's alive and then you are on a hunt to find the guy who hired you and then you kill the guy who hired you and...thats it...there is no point for him to hire him...to kill him...why? WHERE IS THE POINT!? really. AND BY THE WAY...to whoever posted the suggestion that (since i didnt like the movie) i am a "FAG" who are you to tell me what i can and cannot like? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Ending Cliffhanger...Posted: 12/14/2007A review of The Golden Compass by Jtaylor4 I wish that the people would tell people who are going to watch the movies that they end like the Lord of the Rings...oy...I'm tired of movies that just...end...no country for old men...lord of the rings...Videodrome...I digress. The movie was wonderful...demons though?... owell. I think that Christopher Lee is one of the best Bad Guy's and voice actors of all time...right up there with Morgan Freeman and James Earl Jones. The most important thing is that this movie felt as though it had no audiance...it was just blithering on and on about demons and people...i dont get the theme here... Was this review helpful? I try to stay away since they mean nothing usually. This is my opinion so if you are interested read on...if not...go away!
I loved this movie. From the begining I was laughing and while it did have it's inconsistancies, it was still funny all the way (like how it looked like it was started in 1304 AD and then advanced to Modern day) it seemed as though some problems should have been addressed but the fact is it was funny and uplifting. I should say however that it is a suggestive movie so children may not understand certain things so parents beware.
All in all, I feel there to have been some major messages and hintful things but of corse you also get to see Kevin Spacy as another rendition of superman...it made me giggle to see that. I belive that this movie will be good for christmas time next year with your family and it is good but came a little too early for the holidays. Hopefully people see this; it was a wonderful film.
