I had long before laid eyes on this film had some sort of witchy childhood fascination with Stallone when he appeared in F.I.S.T. near my hometown in Iowa. That said, as a 14 year old impressionable dreamer-I totally related to the character in First Blood. Except for the fact that he was a Vietnam Vet ,forgotten yadablahblah-I was married to the military for 24 years as a military wife. Now as an ex-wife-looking back, First Blood could be the story that almost never waz-what with the locale. The writer is a homeboy Iowa man which even plugged me in more.
My utmost respect to the man Stallone, his character, integrity, et fight for the american dream is not an oversight by myself to know that he was nearly raised in the birthplace of our country. I submit to you EMichaelStallone that u seriously consider a political run to the top if u catch my drift. Ill personally challenge u and campaign 4u as a REDWHITE ET BYGODBLUE AMERICAN CITIZAN-Consider this my offer and first public pronouncement. GODBLESSU
