Overall, the movie was pretty intense at the beginning I mean...the kids hating Tom Cruise we all could relate to hahahahaha but, to be honest, it was pretty intense. Then, after a while, I kinda got bored. They kept pushing in the fact THAT THE ALIENS ARE ON EARTH AND THEY WILL KILL YOU! OMG! we know we know. From then on, it went on downhill. I mean the kid wants to go to war and HE MAKES HIM! Then the kid goes into the raging inferno but, when he sees him at the end, hes completely fine. And, where the mothers house was was completely unharmed. It seems like this ending was written in 20 minutes right before they started filming (either that or Stephen Speilberg thinks they all live happily ever after is an incredible ending for a war movie.) In all, its enh... quality. Not good enough to buy for 25 at the store...but good enough to buy bootleg for 4 at the....good mall (you know...those malls that sell movies before they come out on DVD for a fraction of the price)

I thought it was going to be an o.k. movie with good special effects and a terrible story line...I mean "The Island" how much simpler can you get? But, as soon as it started, i was very interested. The institution, the lottery, the Xbox games! This was going to be an incredible movie. Many people thought it was confusing and didn't make any sense but....YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT.
Scarlett Johansson gave an amazing performance and so did Ewan McGregor. This movie proves that you dont need a big name actor to succeed. If anything...if you added Brad Pitt and Jessica Alba...I wouldn't have liked it!
In all...this was a great movie that I am looking forward to buying on DVD! Was this review helpful? Sure, I am 13 years old and I liked it but, in the theatre, there was a 45 year old man with his kids laughing his @$$ off! When I walked into the theatre, I believed maybe it was going to be an "ok" movie with the occasional funny scene (like the original) but, just the beginnin blew my mind. People were saying it was an "exact" remake of the original. What were they thinking??? This was a unique movie with hilarious parts and the right mixture of characters! Loved it! This movie is so hillarious, Hank Azaria and Ray Romano make a perfect mix and the rest of the cast just clicks together to create instant comedy. From Alice the woman who has kids that don't talk. If you read the books like I did. You would find this movie very different. This movie was good because it taught you about how if you never give up...anything is possible. I didnt like the ending very much because In the Books (which the movie is based on) they NEVER caught Count Olaf. The children also realized how their house got burned down but in the books, that was a mystery to be solved. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is becaus it has a meaning behind it.

I think people didn't like this movie because the J-man is confusing. That is just his character. If you think, the movie title fits in perfectly because Tim is green with envy. I liked the ending because after they lost all the money, Tim figured out how to gain it back

Meg, the 16 year old who is obsessed with being liked, Chris the beefy 13 year old who wouldnt hurt a fly unless it landed on his hot dog, Stewie the 1 year old who is obsessed with taking over the world and Brian the talking dog whose jokes are as dry as the martinis he drinks. Family Guy is what youd get if you put Hank Hill, Homer Simpson and Erik Cartman into a highly powerful blender such as the magic bullet.<br> 5 stars A+++ Was this review helpful?
