I also wished this movie had a little comedy, but it was not to be. No humor really. A few slightly cute things in the dialogue. Both lead actors very easy on the eyes. The places they traveled to were very pretty scenes. Pretty furniture and hotel rooms, but that doesn't make a good movie. I wouldn't even rent this one. Was this review helpful? The movie was really really bad. My husband went to sleep twice and I nearly dozed off too. It was very slow and boring. The only acting that was good was the little girl. Save your money. My husband & I sat down and he made the comment, "Geez, am I the only guy in this theatre?" We looked around and sure enough, he was!! As we sat there 25 min. waiting for the show to start, more and more females just kept showing up, until the theatre was nearly totally packed. Right at the end, another guy showed up with his daughter. A whole theatre of women and only 2 men. I couldn't believe it!
I loved Shopaholic. This actress is becoming my new favorite actress! It seems she can play all kinds of characters and just become them. I loved her in Wedding Crashers and Enchanted too. She just sparkles and is so funny. I found myself laughing outloud quite often. The lead guy was so handsome, like a prince with the British accent. My husband liked the movie too. But not as much as I did. Hubby gave the movie 2 stars. I don't understand that. I could watch the movie again right now. It was that good!! Don't miss it. Was this review helpful? Soon I heard him chuckling, then belly laughing. We both loved it! It was hilarious. This is the first time we've ever seen this story. All the actors were very well chosen. Sophie was my favorite. Gorgeous voice and beautiful girl, so fresh and natural with such expressive eyes. (I judge for the Miss America system, so looks and expression matter to me.) The costuming was perfect and sometimes so funny, adding so much to the plot. Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish, no slow spots. You will really enjoy this movie. It was funny, in our audience, because some people would speak out loud, almost joining into the movie with their opinions. I've not seen that much before. Maybe it was because it was just such a cute movie and you actually felt like you were on the island with them. My favorite was the kitchen staff. Be sure to watch their faces. Don't miss this movie. But then I saw so many poor reviews on here, I waited nearly 3 weeks. In fact I wasn't going to see it at all, until my daughter in Florida saw it and loved it. I took my husband and we both laughed so hard. This movie is hilarious, yes a bit stupid. But which of Adam Sandler's movies aren't a bit stupid and silly with ridiculous humor?
I love this movie! It was very very funny. Adam Sandler's acting was better than I've ever seen him. He was a totally different character than I'm used to in most of his movie's where it's the same type of role for him. This role was very different. If you've enjoyed Happy Gilmore and most of his other movies, you will love this one!
My daughter's in her late 20's and a doctor. I'm a conservative Kindergarten Teacher in my 50's. We all loved it. I sure don't understand why it is getting poor reviews, but it's a terrible shame. This movie is possibly the best he's ever done. I hope you don't miss it. Forget about the poor reviews. Go and laugh and laugh. Was this review helpful? I would give it 4.5 stars. I am very stingy with a 5 star rating. I sure don't see how anyone who actually saw this movie wouldn't like it. It was non-stop action, good humorous parts, Harrison Ford was terrific! There were also many twists and unexpected parts in the action and the plot. I found myself very tense in many parts of the movie, which is fairly rare for me. The suspense was very good! I would say this movie was better than the 2nd sequel, much better actually, but maybe not as good as the original. But if you have enjoyed the other Indiana Jones movies, you will love this one. Don't listen to any nay-sayers. Go see it and don't miss it. I lauged out loud many times and the audience was laughing and cringing, and really involved. Great movie!

It was pretty believable and it was fun to see Vegas and identify with walking through the same doors as the actors, etc. I would have ended it a bit differently, but the whole movie was very good. I was surprised that this movie has been out for quite awhile, but it was still so crowded that several people couldn't even find seats and had to walk back out of the theater. I would say, go 15 minutes early, or you may not get a seat. This move was fun, interesting, well acted, believable, and tense in parts, funny in parts. You won't regret seeing it. The actors were good looking and very good at being totally believable. I guess I'm saying the characters were very well cast or chosen. I would have liked it to have ended a bit differently. This was an interesting movie, but just know that it drags. I had to wake my husband up twice. You really have to watch carefully to figure things out, and that's what made it interesting. Really I'd say your child better be 5th grade or older to see this movie. The animated characters are pretty grotesque and there are very scary parts. I was cringing and so was my husband. I really wouldn't consider this a family movie. But I did like it. It was magical and mystical, fun to watch and very suspenseful all the way through. The special effects were very very well done! We both liked the movie very much. The actors were all perfect for the roles. The lead male actor was very handsome and interesting with great eyes. The movie was very suspenseful, action packed, and raced along. There was great depth in the characters. We didn't get to see the end because my husband became ill. He almost wondered if it was the jumping around of the camera. Has anyone else experienced or heard of any effects like this from seeing this movie? I didn't have any dizziness or anything. Hubby probably just has a virus or something.
I highly recommend this movie. It will appeal to all ages and keeps you thinking. You won't go wrong seeing this one. We will have to go back because we don't know how it ends.

In fact it was a bit labored and pretty stupid. Pretty much a waste of our money. I was a Basketball cheerleader in the 70's, so I thought this movie might be fun for my husband and I to watch and bring back old memories. About half-way through, my husband leaned over and said, "This movie is stupid." There were a few funny situations and a few funny lines, but really I can't recommend it at all. Maybe rent it when it comes out, but even then, don't expect much. We love Will Farrell and loved Taledaga nights and Blades of Glory and pretty much have enjoyed every movie Will Farrell's been in. There was a preview of another Will Farrell movie coming out that looked great. It was called Step Brothers, so maybe we'll enjoy that one in the future. Sorry to be a downer. I never was able to predict the outcome, it kept me guessing. The dialogue was hilarious. Juno was astounding! I just loved her to pieces. The music was perfect for the show, as were all the personalities of the actors and actresses. I don't know how the casting could have been any better! I loved them all. Do not miss this movie. It is not like any other movie you'll see. Sweet, so funny, and very refreshing. Not really sad at all, but I did shed a few tears because there were a few very touching moments. We saw the movie with me & hubby, and my daughter & her hubby. We are seniors, they are late 20's. We all loved it. We were laughing pretty much throughout. The theater was packed. Lots of little girls and their Moms, but lots of other aged people as well. I would actually go see it again, it was that good. All the actors were fantastic and perfect for their roles. Go see it. It will absolutely convince you that dreams still do come true. Oh, and you will come out humming the "I've been dreaming" song! Ha Ha! Hilarious and delightful movie. Don't miss it. We had just watched Beowulf and then watched this one too. We all liked Enchanted way more than Beowulf.
The actress who plays the princess, looked and sounded so much like the girl who used to play Ariel at Disney World in the Little Mermaid show. We were just at Disney in October, and there was a new Ariel. Anybody know where the lead Actress from Enchanted came from? Was this review helpful? The plot was fairly good, but there was not much real interaction from the characters. They all seemed cold and distant. I was looking for a bit of romance, sorry. The movie graphics were totally believable, and so intense in some parts I was grabbing my husband's arm, which I only seem to do in violent action scenes. Yes, it's easy to forget these are not real actors. I thought they could have done more with the 3-D. Yes it was cool, but I've seen better with Disney. The movie also seemed a bit long. We saw the movie with me & hubby, and daughter & her hubby. The guys liked it a bit better and we ladies liked it a bit less, but we all agreed on probably a 3* rating from us. I loved the culture and parts with dancing shoes. The lead male actor is amazingly handsome. The casting for the family and all acting is fantastic and totally believable. Great movie in all areas.
