Well, that I guess was the undertone. There was a little bit of the actual romance at the start of the movie, the rest - very dark, depressing. I kept waiting for it to get better, but at the end, was just left with a hopelessness. Definately not a feel good movie. I also didn't like the way the movie flip flopped back and forth from past to present. To end this review on a good note - the acting was superb. Was this review helpful? Especially Theodore. Great family movie. I just wish someone could think of another way to climax a family movie without a car chase at the end. Take the kids (or not) and enjoy! It keeps your mind busy the entire movie~you've got to pay attention. Gripping and intelligent with a great ending!! Definately worth the ticket price and the 2 hours. I'd see it again.
