It takes a lot to impress me, and I must say, this is one of my favorites. Complex melodies and rhythms, powerful refrains and profound interludes sung in a language you can understand, as opposed to mindless screaming and cussing. Some believe that songs should not have particular messages, but it takes some spine to stand up for something and convey a message of power and integrity such as in Im Alive and Land of Confusion despite what may be happening around you.
I just loaded this album into my MP3 player and went jogging, and I was virtually immune to pain. In fact, it was like I could feed off it and break into an all-out sprint on several occasions.
