Posted: 3/26/2006A review of Let It Be... Naked by Brantley290
Me and a lot of beatle fans did not like what Phil Spector did with Let It Be. The Beatles broke up and they had all of this let it be material and they just told them to do whatever they wanted with it. Spector put in orchestras that werent there in the first place and made decisions only people in the beatles should have made. THis is what it was meant to be. I believe the sound on Georges acoustic guitar in for you blue sounds a lot better. THey put on Dont Let Me Down which should have been on the album in the first place because it is in the movie many times. Finally the orchestra and choirs are out of THe Long and Winding ROad and Let iT Be, it sounds a lot better and this is probably how the beatles would have made it because it was supposed to be them getting back to their original work without sound effects and crazyness (hence why the title in the beginning was Get Back not Let It Be)

This is the style that Paul McCartney does best. The good rockin tunes and the good acoustic style tracks. This is my favorite solo McCartney of the past 10 years. The songs are songs of their own and not sounding like others of his. Ringo is on a few tracks which is nice. Overall great album and a good listen.

Posted: 1/9/2006A review of Kill 'Em All by Brantley290
Even though their style wasnt polished up yet, this is their first and probably fastest cd. Hit the Lights starts it off INSANELY intesne. The solos are some of the fastest i have ever heard. Even though their other older albums had songs that were just amazing this cd is just straight great riffs and fast playing. Its my favorite Metallica album because of that. Its a good listen all the way through and I like the way James used to sing not all that ARGGGHHHHHHH!!! He has a normal singing and screaming voice. ROCK ON METALLICA

Posted: 1/5/2006A review of Chaos & Creation In The Bkyrd by Brantley290
After hearing Driving Rain, I was unsure what Paul was going to come up. I was very dissapointed in Driving Rain but very impressed with Flaming Pie. This is a little bit of both. Although there are upbeat songs like Fine Line and Promise To Your Girl, there are also great slower songs. Its great that Paul plays nearly every instrument on every song. If you bought this at best buy, you can get the bonus track Comfort of Love which is equal to if not better than a lot of songs on the album. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is some songs are a little boring and repititous. Jenny Wren is a great acoustic track (can anybody say blackbird?). Paul said when writing Friends To Go he felt like George Harrison and i could definately see George singing and playing this song. Just take a listen and you will see what im talking about (in the dvd that comes with the album paul says the George bit). Overall great album!

Posted: 1/3/2006A review of Magical Mystery Tour by Brantley290
I am a huge Beatles fan so before i got this i knew all of the songs already. But as an album, it is pretty good. Blue Jay Way and Flying are a little weak but it was from that time period and what they were experimenting with. This is pretty much extended Sgt. Pepper. Most people would say Are you crazy? Sgt. Pepper is way different and completely different album! but truthfully, it isnt. If you know the beatles, they always said any of the songs on Sgt Pepper could have gone anywhere and they could have gone here too. These songs and Sgt. Pepper songs were made at the same time. While Sgt. Pepper was being released, the beatles released the video for Strawberry Fields Forever. So to me, this has great songs on it and is a great beatles album just like Sgt Pepper although Sgt. Pepper is put together a lot better.

Posted: 12/30/2005A review of 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours by Brantley290
I was a fan of Green Day mainly of Dookie and that style. I like all of the new stuff but i wanted to know what came before they were big. I realized i liked the older stuff i didnt know (Kerplunk, 1039) almost better than the albums i did know. THis album is great its a lot of straight up punk songs that if you listen to enough, almost the same style as songs on Dookie. The older drummer isnt as good as Tre but doesnt have any flaws. Mikes bass is VERY impressive he has a few solos on this album. GREAT ALBUM!

Posted: 12/29/2005A review of River Of Dreams [1998 Enhanced] by Brantley290
This, as of right now, is Billy Joels last album with words on it. It is very good. Songs like Lullabye and Great Wall Of China definately leave a mark. Although he should still be making music. People like him can always come up with good tunes and who knows how long he will be around to make music.

Posted: 12/24/2005A review of Hypnotize [Explicit] by Brantley290
After listening to Mezmorize over and over again and seeing SOAD in concert I couldnt wait for this to come out. Just like any albums that are supposed to go together, these do it very well with Soldier Side. This is Systems best work. It was really no big deal to hear Daron start to sing because he did it on Steal This Album! and in that part on Needles. They are by far in the elite of bands with 2 lead singers. GREAT ALBUM GREAT BAND.
