However, there were many times I did not FEEL what the movie was trying to portray. For example, I understood Ann was supposed to be terrified singing at the wedding because she was out of her Was this review helpful? Lucky Thirteen - Entertaining! Even though the movie is based on revenge, the revenge is against the bad guys! I told my husband I think this whole Ocean series is successful because it taps into a core need of guys in particular and humanity as a whole...to belong to a group. This movie celebrates diversity within unity. And has fun doing it. Was this review helpful? We do not view ourselves as prudish as we see our fair share of R-rated movies. But this movie went way below our comfort level. Vulgar language. Vulgar sex scenes. I agree with the reveiwer who said it should have been rated X. The previews gave no indication of what we would be exposed to. We felt tricked. This movie reminded us of I Think I Love My Wife in that both movies had good plots and messages but HOW they communicated the messages was FOUL. Boo. For those who want to see a cleaner movie with a similar message, rent Fools Rush In with Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek. Was this review helpful? We were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed it. Clean humor with a good message. I loved Morgan Freeman's portrayal of God...how He speaks to us in a myriad of ways, many of them symbols...how He loves us... how He answers our prayers and develops our character...how He persists in connecting with us. After the movie my husband did the happy dance outside the theatre, resulting in a couple of on-looking grade school girls laughing with us...all the more fun. GO! Was this review helpful?
