Posted: 6/3/2003A review of Come Away With Me by Jessie_88_suckmykiss
Norah Jones wasn't exactly a common name in my vocabulary, a newbie, i thought to the music world. I didn't need to see her face to know that she had talent. All I needed, was to listen to her smooth, bluesy voice belt out "Don't Know Why" and I knew i had to have the cd! If you want to relax and have a comfortable night indoors, just mellow out to Norah Jones, the tracks are each beautifully done, and each has it's own emotion to it. Though if you are in a party mood, I don't recommend this album! For those of you jazz fans, you have found your princess, she deserved some recognition and she got it, Norah Jones.

When i walked into the theater to see Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt in The Tuxedo, I thought back to commercials advertising the movie. It looked upbeat, funny, and full of action. But this turned out to be a movie in which the commercials portray something different than the movie. Though Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt had great on-screen chemistry(especially since this is their first time together) the movie lacked a stable background. The plot would have worked better if it would have been considered more carefully, it just seemed to be going nowhere and was rather sketchy, and i was disappointed at the lack of action(the ad's give the impression that there is lots of action). There were a lot of funny moments in the movie; Jackie Chan proves he can be action-packed and funny, plus the scene where he dances and sings like James Brown is priceless. Overall, it was entertaining and somewhat funny, but needs improvement. :)P.S. I recommend this movie because some of the scenes are HILARIOUS!

Ja Rule definitely took it up a level with the song "Livin' It Up", but let's talk about the album itself, "Pain Is Love". As usual, doesn't fail to produce club rocking beats, cool cameos, and his thug activites (yeah, nothin' but some gangsta's smokin' and ridin'! according to Ja). But, as most rap albums tend to do, this album is filled with cursing (though if you have the clean version it's nothing but a bunch of bleeps) and can be disturbing in terms of content. If you liked Ja's past albums you will love this one, and if you are a crackhead, hard-core thug, or half-minded rapper than you'll idolize it. I personally enjoy a few songs myself, but I wouldn't hand him a Grammy just yet. In my days as a rap lover, I did listen to it quite frequently.
