I fell in love with these guys - the filmmakers, the actors, all of them! The director, Nat Christian paints a personal and a cool, unique picture. He also acts in this and puts his heart into his acting, which is always truthful. Kim Oja, also gives it her all and delivers honest portrayals in two different roles. The whole feel of the film was romantic, bouncy and hot! CHANNELS all the way!

Posted: 2/10/2009A review of A Christmas Story by SleepyGirlInSeattle
Had this over the holidays, but just now looked at it. Director Bob Clarke creates a very funny and warm movie, based on the novel by Jean Shepherd and written for the screen by Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Clark. The story about a kid who wants a BB gun for Christmas and his life during that time is beautifully depicted by actors Peter Billingsley, Darren McGavin and Melinda Dillon. Will now probably watch it every year!

Posted: 1/29/2009A review of Australia by SleepyGirlInSeattle
AUSTRALIA hits all of the right notes, in fact, almost all of the notes, and winds up almost being a great film. Don't get me wrong, I liked it a lot. It's just that it semed to want to be more than what it is. What it is, though, is a beautifully shot and nicely acted movie, which has some very grand moments. Director Baz Luhrmann, an accomplished talent, does a fine job of telling an epic story with humor and romance kicked in. Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman deliver fine performances.

Posted: 2/2/2009A review of Spider-Man 3 by SleepyGirlInSeattle
Here we go - This time Peter Parker is now happily in love with Mary Jane Watson. He comes under attack from the Sandman. Harry Osborn is the New Goblin, and a black goo affixes itself to Peter’s spider-suit, thus changes his personality. Whatever the story line is, it really doesn't matter, because those of us who love Spiderman will watch. I did and realized that it came from a terrific screenplay by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi and Alvin Sargent. Based on the comic book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Sam Raimi also directed with much energy and a command of VFX. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco and Thomas Haden Church were excellent.
