Now dont get me wrong about the 3 stars - Its still a good album. But youll skip some tracks. Its like listening to an album that has only 5 songs on it. Indeed, this album has 5 songs on it, 5 GOOD songs, which are Heatseeker, Thats The way I Wanna Rock n Roll, Kissin Dynamite, Nick of Time, and This Means War.
Other songs might get other listeners attention, but the 5 I told you about are pretty good listeners. Diehard AC DC fans will enjoy this album. But those of you who are new to the AC DC fan kingdom, this is not the first album youll be getting to start your AC DC collection... Was this review helpful? AC DC may surprise noob fans to their fact that this album is too slow. Most of the stuff is, but three of the tracks (Baby please dont go, Stick Around, and Show Business) are pretty speedy. This may not be the best AC DC album ever, but its not the worst. If youre in Australia, try this album out. Otherwise you can buy the American Releases and try it.
Baby please dont go, Show Business, Soul Stripper, and You aint got a hold on me are on 74 Jailbreak. Shes Got Balls and Little Lover are on the American High Voltage. But Stick Around and Love Song remain unreleased in the states as of 2006. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Bananas isnt a bad album as some people say, possibly because of the album art, title, and their new keyboardist, Don.
The album contains pretty sweet tracks, especially House of Pain, Walk On, Bananas, Sun Goes Down, and Haunted.
The closer, Contact Lost, is a sad, insturmental song by Steve Morse, about the Columbian Space Shuttle Disaster. (They had friends in the shuttle.)
Its an ok album, but, geez, msn! You are the worst music critics alive! Was this review helpful? Although critics werent too happy on how the movie came out, that doesnt stop the album from being a classic.
This album contains three original material, Who Made Who, D.T., and Chase the Ace, two of them are insturmentals and the title track is an all time classic. The song mainly talks about building robots or clones as seen in the music video in Family Jewels.
The rest are from seprate albums. You Shook Me All Night Long and Hells Bells are from their bestselling album, Back In Black.
Shake Your Foundations and Sink The Pink are from their mediocure album Fly on the Wall.
Ride on - the only Bon Scott song on the album - is on Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and For those about to rock we salute you is on the album with the same name.
The songs on this album will blow you away. Its a perfect album aside from Back in black and those other classics thatll rock your brains out! Was this review helpful? It contains many great that and AC DC fan will love. Open the album is the song with one of the most memorible opening riffs on the face of the earth, Thunderstruck, a song about real life experience of Angus when his plane got struck by lightning. Coming at No.2 is Fire Your Guns, which has an all out attack of riffs of the Youngs, drums of Slade, and vocals of Johnson. It basically talks about having an orgasm. Number 3 is nearly the most memorible AC DC track in the world, Moneytalks, which talks about a very rich life, having a big mansion with a king sized bed. Number 4 is the creepy and dark riffs of The Razors Edge. Number 5 is AC DCs Christmas Carol, Mistress for Christmas, which is about what Johnson wants from Santa a woman dressed in red in the bottom of his bed. Rock your Heart out is another riffy attack of the guitars. Are you Ready is another very good track about getting ready for the night line. Got You by the balls, yep, the title says it all, it about a person getting you by the nuts! Shot of Love is - of course - a good track. Lets make it is prolly the least liked song on the album, but its not the worst song AC DC song ever. GoodBye and good riddance is anothe bluesy song on the album. If you dare, the song that closes the album is a rich song with pretty catchy riffs.
Phew! Thats all i can say about this album! Thank you for your time. Was this review helpful? However, Brian Johnsons voice is muffled in the guitars and the background and you really cant tell what he is saying. In the remastered version, Johnsons voice is more understandable and you can easily hear Cliff Williams bass. Standout Tracks include Fly on the Wall, Shake Your Foundations, Sink the Pink, and Danger. Was this review helpful? All the other songs, $#^!. Was this review helpful? Girls like that, rapture of the deep and kiss tomorrow goodbye in my opinion are the best tracks in this album. Steve Morses guitar fits more perfectly in this and Ian Paices drums dont click. (He had that problem in the Bananas album) Rapture of the Deep is a good album, but hardcore fans will throughly enjoy it. Was this review helpful? Every song on this album is really strong, especially the strongest hits (Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, Sweet Child O Mine.) Aside from AC DCs Back in Black, Metallicas Master of Puppets, and Deep Purples Machine Head, this album really rocks out my entire collection of the best rock music out there! Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 4/27/2006A review of Back In Black by Anonymous Some folks belive that this album is bad. Who ever says that, doesnt know real music.
This album is an all black tribute to their lead singer, Bon Scott, who died in a parked car after a night of drinking. After the auditions, they recruited Brian Johnson as their new vocalist. This album was released a few months after the passing, but it rocketed up the charts, eventually becoming one of the greatest albums in the early 1980s.
Every song on this album is very strong, there is not a single weak track on it, even the lesser known is strong. Its AC DCs bestselling album to date, and you dont own it, get it. You will not regret it! Was this review helpful? The only complaint i can offer here is that the album is really short. It deserves 4.6 stars, rounded up to five. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 4/11/2006A review of Born Again by Anonymous Deep Purples lead singer, Ian Gillan does not mix with the guitarwork of Black Sabbath because of his blusey voice and lyrics. After listening to it, I turn this album down during a sale for 5 bucks! I Like Black Sabbath, but listening to this album makes me disapointed think why did they chose Gillian to be the vocalist of BS?
I should give this album no stars at all, but msns minimum amout is 1. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 2/23/2006A review of For Those About to Rock We Salute You by Anonymous allmusic.com has the worst critics around This album is COMPLEATLY underrated! Its one of my favorites of all time aside from Back in Black and Highway to Hell. I really liked the songs Put the finger on you, Evil Walks, title track, Snowballed, C.O.D., Lets get it up, and Spellbound. WE SALUTE AC DC!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 2/3/2006A review of Blow Up Your Video by Anonymous Im one of the DieHard ACDC Fans who must have everything of ACDC. And let me tell you, i really didnt like this album too much, mainly because of all of the filler. The album starts out with two of ACDCs greatest hits. (Heatseeker, Thats the Way I wanna Rock n Roll) but from there on, the album blows. However, i did like Kissin Dynamite and This Means War. Ruff Stuff was a little close to become one of the worst songs on the album. this album is ok, i listen to it a couple of times, but it doesnt stand out to be one of the memorable albums like Back in Black and Highway To Hell.
