The family was absolutely believable complete with teenage angst and grandparental regrets. It was very funny and very real. I am surprised that little Abigail didn't win the academy award. She definitely deserved it as did the Alan Arkin who played the grandpa. At times that actor reminded me of my great-grandfather. The acting was extradordinarily strong and they actors and their styles meshed well together! The car....omg....I've had cars just as bad or possibly worse! Poor things! I mean the plot was horrible! There was no plot and it made abosultely no sense. The acting was good. I can understand why there were acting nominations for this film but the script was just horrible. I was the worst 2 hours and 2 minutes that I have ever spent and it was a waste of a netflix rental. It was horrendously horrible. I wish I could give this movie negative amount of stars. Yes, it was that bad!!!! Was this review helpful? I Love You by loveliness1885 This is one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. I went through 3 kleenex. You know it's a good movie if you have more than one kleenex! Hillary Swank is awesome. The movie didn't even come to close to the book. I mean it was more about Anne than Mary. I was hoping the movie would show more of Mary's love interests. I mean she hopelessly loved Henry and she worshiped Stafford as Stafford worshiped her. And at one time Henry did love Mary. And I do NOT believe that Henry raped Anne. He was enamoured by her and he worshiped her. I mean he did tear his kingdom apart for her. He wrote beautiful sonnets and songs just for Anne....Greensleeves was for her. Eric Bana did a horrible job portraying King Henry. True Henry had a temper and he was intimidating but he was also doting and loving and he had a wonderful sense of humor. Natalie Portman....as Anne...well she didn't do too bad of a job. It was also nice to see her in a different role. Scarlett Johansen as Mary. I'm not a big fan of her so there defintely could have been a better choice. Her acting isn't that great. Anyways, if I were Philippa Gregory I would be OUTRAGED at the director or screenwriter or whatever. It was nothing like the book. I was thoroughly disappointed. BTW, I own that whole series, if they do anymore of her books which in my opinion all in that series (Constant Princess, Boleyn Inheritance, The Queen's Fool, and The Virgin's Lover) are great candidates to become a movie....if only they stick to HER story! Sign In 2 out of 2 users found this helpful  Good!Posted: 5/5/2008A review of Juno by loveliness1885 Well, when I saw that John Cena was in this movie, I assumed it was be as hiliarious as Superbad. I didn't realize it was so deep. As to Juno's character and thought process not being like a 16 year old. I disagree. She was immature and funny in her own quirky way. But then again she also had to be mature. Her mother abandoned her at a young age which probably prompted her to mature a little and then having such a young sibling at that age will help a young lady mature.
