It made me cry harder than I did for The Notebook, which is not an easy task. This movie was so great because its not Hollywood. Its so incredibly authentic and the actors are so good and believable. I know most people wont see it because its in french, but you can hardly notice the subtitles, plus the joy of this movie outweighs the inconvienence Was this review helpful? John Le Carres novel tells of the daily travesties that occur in Africa, and the worlds ignorance of them. Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz portray the two main characters perfectly, capturing the tragic love story underneath all the political turmoil, and in the end it is their love which allows them to uncover a horrible plot that exploits the desperation of the African people. A heartbreaking but important film that everybody must see. Was this review helpful? Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are very convincing as two people who are destined to be together, and all the other actors are so good. The plot is so moving that you will definetly cry more than once. EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-3 of 3 Per Page |
