Why? Because this movie is terrible. The director is trying to cram 3 or 4 life stories into 2 hours and it was all over the place. I had more questions than answers and the movie was extremely rushed. With caliber actors as Jeff Wright and Adrian Brody, I wasn't upset with their acting but with the script and the fact that they signed on to portray Waters and Chess...but we are in a recession. Beyonce...all I can say is some musicians have true acting talent...she would not fall into that category. She was Beyonce with a foul mouth and a bad wig. This movie needs to be revamped and the fact that the final cut was what was sent to movie theatres should have the director hanging their head in shame. Great actors - Beyonce + bad script does not = OSCAR. "Beyonce needs an OSCAR for playing Etta James", come on. I can sing "At Last" does that mean I should get an Oscar too? Was this review helpful?
