What fails is the fact that songs like santeria and date rape weren't just great because of the lyrics ,but because of the music also, and they aren't played like the originals or even close.
Listenable Tunes:
1) Badfish-Boss D.J.
2)What I Got Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 2 users found this helpful Posted: 6/30/2005A review of MTV Unplugged In New York by mstgfstbck A true raw expression of Nirvana at their best. Nirvana's frontman, Kurt Cobain, expresses his emotions deeply in each song. The problem is that Cobain did not write each of the songs. Most of the songs were borrowed from arstists such as David Bowie's "Man Who Sold The World" and The Meat Puppets "Lake of Fire." Although borrowed, Cobain does his best to add a certain strength and sense of power to each song. His songs or not they are played well and couldn't be played better.
Listenable Tunes:
"About a Girl"
"Come As You Are"
"The Man Who Sold The World"
"Dumb"
"Polly"
"Plateau"
"Lake Of Fire"
"All Apologies"
"Where Did You Sleep Last Night" Was this review helpful? Although there are many hits on this album than any of their predecessing albums, Sublime struggles in some areas to show their absolute best on this album. This is a must album from any hardcore to tag along fan.
Listenable Tunes:
"April 29th, 1992"
"Santeria"
"Wrong Way"
"What I Got"
Doin' Time"
"Caress Me Down"
"Burritos" Was this review helpful? "Nevermind" possesses haunting lyrics and provides great tunes along with it. Altough most of the songs on it are considered some of their greatest hits, some don't make the cut.Nirvana shows the world what their made of and what can be expected from them and they can most definetly back it up with "Nevermind."
Listenable tunes:
"Smells Like Teen Spirit"
"Come As You Are"
"In Bloom"
"Lithium"
"Polly" Was this review helpful? Exploding on to the music scene with their first CD "40 oz. To Freedom." They're still at good begginer act ,but if you want to hear an even more explosive and emotional album listen to "Robbin' the hood" their second album. Was this review helpful?
