I regret taking my 10 year old daughter to this movie. I thought the gay guy scene was funny, but my daughter was too young for the subject of this. Mike Omalley was the best comic for sure. However the story was VERY boring everywhere else. The mother (Heather Locklear) portrayed an unreliable parent with a ditzy type mentality, while the daughter (Hilary Duff) played a two-faced, manipulative and very dishonest teenager. The little sister (Ariel Wallace) was actually the only breath of good character within a very strange family. How did this story ever get to the screen? Dont waste your time, is my opinion. It is one of those movies that you keep expecting something great to happen, and then the lights in the theatre go on and you walk out...only happy that you got to see the trailers of other movies.
