Good special effects to keep you awake. Miscast lady in distress... really now, 2 hot men fighting over her? The joker was alright at first then that got old too. There was too many charcters and too little Batman, which seemed really ODD. IRON MAN was far superior. Was this review helpful? This is a fitting movie that catches up with our girls several years after the series closed. Each one has made some major changes. Without revealing the plot, there is quite a bit of drama in the middle of the film. The girls are wonderful, SJP sparkles.. KC camps it up and holds the show together quite honestly... CN has never looked better, she has the best "scenes" for an actress... and KD actually provides a good deal of humour. There will not be a totally dry eye in the house during the New Years Eve portion. The JH assistant character was a little awkward, but added 20 something vibe to these ladies in their middle years now... "pass me my glasses". You'll want your glasses when Samantha's neighbor showers.. enough said. As far as the men go, they are fantastically accommodating to these women, well you know need some fantasy. Ha ha. >> There were enough little nagging questions at the end... hmmm.. will there be a SATC2? Was this review helpful? The main characters are a family, black sheep brother in the nightclub biz and the others on the police squad trying to help him back into the flock. Biggest gripe: I think the unimaginative casting holds it back actually... several of these actors have played these roles several roles before! And recently! It's like, are we still watching Departed? :-D Relatively predictable and a bit underpaced, it still will hold your attention, but don't expect any Oscars out of this one. Note - Eva Mendez is the most beautiful actress in HW! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 12/12/2006A review of Mr. & Mrs. Smith by ungrinch Ugg. The reminder of it all. This movie was not understood or enjoyed by anyone in our party. Unrealistic, a shoot up every glass on the shelves of the warehouse (in tedious slo-mo yet) sort of film. Very sad effort all the way around. Thank goodness we paid only to see it at a discount theater! Was this review helpful? The home-switch vacation set-up is very imaginative, the personal situations are both sappy and relatable, the settings charming, and the players are all proven professionals at the top of their games. We should expect some sort of award nominations for Mr. Eli Wallach in his supporting role as the fiesty retired movie business neighbor. Kate Winslet is luminous in a seemless performance that anchors the film. The rest of the cast is well suited to their roles. Classy sentimental pathos and fun. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 12/2/2006A review of All the King's Men by ungrinch The movie was bad IMO because things were very loosely tied together and the accents were inconsistent and hard to understand, not necessary. Way too many characters, nothing tied together in a coherent fashion. Much of the acting over the top screaming with no explanation either. Seemed very tiring to sit through. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful This is a very scary genre movie and is a mixture of a beautiful-beach-body-vacation-movie and fear-invoking-gory-thriller. The water scenes are intense, the way it all plays out for these touristas is horrifying. WELL CAST. NOTE People are saying it isnt this way it is when traveling down in those countries and of course it isnt the norm, but where would the story be ..... come on now. Was this review helpful?
