Prince Caspian veered off course completely. There was an extra battle scene and romance between Caspian and Susan that was never present in the novel. These, of course, were not the only changes - just a couple of the most notable. I truly enjoyed the movie portrayal of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe but Prince Caspian did not cut it for me, I am sorry to say.
I am a fan of C. S. Lewis and the Chronicles of Narnia in particular. There is enough excitement in the books and clean enough story lines to follow that these changes did not have to be made. It just seems a shame to take something as timeless as Narnia and cloud it with "Hollywood" flavour. Certainly the graphics were lovely but they would have been even more so if they had depicted a clear representation of the novel.
That said, thanks for reading my rant:) Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-1 of 1 Per Page |
