I like the fact that these people were the characters, not th ecelebrity with the same smirk or same scream that I have seen whored out a million times before.
I suggest those of you looking for more like this, check out indie films on google video, atleast the trailers.
There has been a lot of buzz about Loose Change and 8 Films to Die For. Was this review helpful? We rented it from Blockbuster and popped it in an old VHS player and I discovered what fear is. The possibility that Satan can take over my body.
Whoa!
The EHTS (Hollywood True Story) is fantastic too. I really dont think studios take chances on movies llike this. I tihnk if you want to have a discovery, like I did on my friends bed in the middle of the night one Halloween, youhave to crash a film festival. All Freakin Night is my favorite, but that is only in Olympia, WA. 8 Films to Die for will be in 35 cities across the country and the rumor is it blows all the recent horror OUT OF THE WATER!
I pray for another Excorcist. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful I have to say, the 70s were a time when filmmaking tapped into a speical energy. Now when we remake a movie, we give it a gloss like an Entertainment Weekly (Julia Stiles as the mom, come on!) and then redo something that was right before redo. What the hell?
I say if you are going to tap into horror you should check out what the Japanese are doing, and I dont mean the mo fo Grudge. Infection and Reincarnation, both of which you can catch at the 8 Films to Die For Film festival.
Want real horror, you cant find it at blockbuster. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-3 of 3 Per Page |
