All reviews by user Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Red Dragon is far better than ManhunterPosted: 10/22/2007A review of Red Dragon by Graeme129 The 1986 film Manhunter was a film with lines said to quickly the thrills gone Lecter wasnt even a cannibal in it and Francis Dolarhyde was a nothing more as a pervertied murderer that doesnt even show him turning into the Great Red Dragon. But thank god for the remake, Red Dragon shows how Hannibal Lecter was captured and the fear that will graham has for him. It doesn't show that Francis Dolarhyde is a pervertied murderer but that with every kill he does he becomes more, he becomes a god, he becomes The Great Red Dragon. The thrills and the twist and turns will keep you on the end of you chair until Hannibal Lecter finishes the movie by saying
"What is her name."

I am Pacino fan and out of all his films i have seen that he has been in Insomnia is his best one for his acting. I am not a big Williams fan and i dont find him all that great an actor but wow was i wrong Robin Williams was brilliant in this.
this should of the oscar people should have said best supporting actor goes to Robin Williams and Best Actor goes to Al Pacino.

Jodie Foster shows her great acting skills here in this film a well disevred win and also Anthony Hopkins as Dr, Hannibal Lecter a.k.a Hannibal the cannibal shows his of also.
As Jodie Foster gets closer and closer to finding a serial killer Hopkins is getting into Foster's mind and starts playing there favourite game of cat and mouse "...because the last thing you want is Hannibal Lecter in your head..."

I first saw Red Dragon out of red dragon and manhunter and my favourite scene for hannibal lecter or in manhunter lecktor was the first visit by will graham. Brain Cox killed the best line nevermind the scene itself, but then again thank god Anthony Hopkins can say it right and the lines in the cell was said to quickly it does show you the fear that will has for lecter or lecktor and how Lecter or lecktor is a man even insane is still smarter than the best in the F.B.I.
My favourite seen for Francis Dollarhyde was when he kidnaps Freddy Lounds and Francis Dollarhyde gives his speach of him becoming the Great Red Dragon. Sadly actor Tom Noonan killed that line also he didnt show of what he was becoming all he showed was that he was just a human and not becoming a god, Ralph Fiennes showed that he was turning into a god and which he showed of won an oscar for such great proformance.
