The Boss is back!! Then when I bought the album and got home I was so disappointed. I was expexting the same typical Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band music, jangily guitars, great harmonies and brilliant songs, but all I hear is a shell of the band. Besides the title track and Lonesome Day, most of the album is forgetable. It doesnt sound like fun anymore. The songs sound like Bruce taking his time and overproducing them, instead of just jamming and having a good time with his band like he did back in their hayday. Do yourself a favor, go buy Born to Run or Born in the U.S.A. Save your money for those albums instead. Was this review helpful? Hasnt put out anything memorable since. Was this review helpful? I loved that song (still do) back then, so I guess the person that bought it for me thought that I would like it. WRONG! However over the weeks that followed Appetite For Destuction grew on me, especially Mr. Brownstone and Its So Easy. What a great album! Eventually G NR became my favorite band and Appetite my favorite album. Still are to this very day. Anyhow, ever wonder how Appetite For Destruction became the number one selling hard rock album? Listen to it, from Welcome To The Jungle all the way to Rocket Queen it sounds like a locomotive at full throttle. Not a bad song on it. If Guns N Roses ever make the Rock Roll Hall of Fame, itll be coz of Appetite. If you like The Darkness, then remember this, without GnR theyre be no Darkness. By the way, I still have the tape that I got for xmas, warps and all. And I still listen to it........ Was this review helpful? Damn right. Especially the title track, Knockers Is It Just Me, Hazel Eyes and my favorite Girlfriend Only one problemNOT ENOUGH MATERIAL!!!! Please go back in the studio asap and record another 20-30 songs. This album goes by way too fast. 10 songs in 34 minutes is too fast. I have to listen to it twice when I go to work, not that theres anything wrong with it. Piece of adviceBUY THIS ALBUM ASAP! You wont be disappointed. Was this review helpful?
