Possibly even pornographic? Could be. This movie is neither comedy or horror, it is really satire. Very, very dark satire.
If you don’t want to watch violence, don’t watch it. If you want to watch this movie, try to see beyond the violence to what it is really about. One man can’t keep up with the overinflated expectations of Yuppiehood and goes Psycho. That’s not all, but it’s a start. It's about rebelling against what society and other people expect. It's about not being able to live up -- even to your own expectations.
Satire, metaphor, and yes, comedy in some measure. Not meant to scare as much as to make you think. Very well done.
