It has been a disappointing year for truly good movies, but come on!!! Has the bar been dropped so low that people consider this a good movie???!!! Maybe. Its one of those movies that could have been big budget with big stars and a decent director but didn't get any of that. Undeveloped charaters, flawed script. One bright light is Mira. The lead acting was good otherwise the whole thing would have gone directly to video. Maybe should have anyway. It drives me nuts when they can take a great idea and not complete it. And what was up with the friend. Cant act, is stupid, apparently so scared of a girl he cant call the police, helps to move the body a second time still not realizing the kid is alive, then commits suicide all without telling anyone where the body is??? help me with this!!!! they didnt even need this character in the film. would have been much better without him. And Where is the old man in the previews. How can you possible create a preview and not know that the editor left the chunk you are using out of the movie. Who are these people??? One would expect some cheesy lines and forgive them if the special effects were great, but they were crap. And apparently none of the actors would sign on unless their character could evolve beyond themselves and become evil and completely lame and stupid. And Im sorry.. spiderman doesnt cry!!! Or at least Toby shouldnt try to fake a cry. People started laughing. So did I. The movie blew chunks. Was this review helpful? In this case. Bad. Fantasy, no. Mental illness, perhaps. Presenting death in a movie with children can be done. This movie shows how not to do it. I dont think I would slam it quite that hard but it could have been so much more. Especially with the cast who obviously couldnt rise above the script either. The humor of Eddie is RAW and politically incorrect and this movie is exactly that. Should have been completely obvious to everyone from the trailer or the photo at the top of the page. Pretty much says it all. Better than most movies of its kind and I do love Drew. I never understood the attraction of Hugh, but the women seem to like him.
