When Hellboy, Abe, and German gasman enter the underground troll market...it reminded me a lot like Harry Potter when Harry and Hagrid enter the wizard town in the first film (never read any books, so I dont know what exactly it's called). There were moments that made this movie into an action comedy. The villan was too cliche'd and could have been used to his full potential. A good movie overall, just a little unoriginal. And we also have to remember that this was made by the same folks behind I Am Legend. Will puts a laughable rediculous performance. The way he is flying in the air in the beginning tends to be nautious for some. The camera angles were bad, and the story was off course. The humor was lame. On the positive side, the movie offers above average effect, and a hot woman known as Charleize Theron (her name is hard to spell). It had so much potential, but was used to it's worst. Now I don't hate the film, but it just wasn't what viewers would expect. Was this review helpful? This was a joke, I honestly believed for a minute this was just an extended episode of the X-Files. Thats what it felt like, it didn't have the motion picture feel to it. Besides that, there were some haha's here and there, but the film was all too predictable. I probably won't see this again, but for any fans, this otta be a treat. Was this review helpful? After seeing this, I kind have lost some respect for the one they call Will Ferrel. Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  The Dark Knight (Spoilers)Posted: 8/1/2008A review of The Dark Knight by Richards1012 Many have said that this is a Harvey Dent story...no, it's a Joker story. The whole movie was stories interlocking together. You have the Batman/Bruce Wayne story, the Commisionair Gordon story, Harvey "Two-Face" Dent, and then The Joker. Really the Joker stood out the most. Heath Ledger had to really portray a true psychopath. I don't think anyone could ever play a better Joker. The only flaw to the movie would be Batman's too-deep-voice. His voice in Begins was fine, but Bale really exagerrated Batman's vocals in the movie. The whole time, Joker was testing Batman, Gordon, and Dent. He wanted to witness Batman break his one rule, and that was he could never kill. Twice it was tested on the Bat. Joker tried testing the minds of Jim Gordon and Harvey Dent, and he was only able to corrupt Dent. The movie was written so beautifully, and Heath makes a knock out performance. This should at least be up for Best Supporting Actor, Best Picture, and Best Screenplay.
