i am huge on Disney and their previous 3d animated films.
but this movie was so sub par compared to anything theyve ever done.
visually it was stunning, i appreciated the animation and imagery.
but the writing was BRUTAL!!!!
AND PEOPLE PLEASE STOP SAYING DISNEY COPIES DREAMWORKS
it is the other way around
Disney starts their projects first and Dreamworks steals their idea and pumps out a mediocre clone of the movie
A Bugs Life was much better than ANTZ
Finding Nemo destroyed Shark Tale by a land slide
in saying this, i was excited for The Wild because i was hoping disney would continue to dominate dreamworks and that The Wild would be superior to its competitor Madagascar
BUT
due to a weak story and cheezy jokes, The Wild lost in that round for me.
So yes.. if youre wondering which zoo creature gone to the wild movie to pick.. go with Madagascar. Was this review helpful? It felt so real.
I loved how the cast were not seen as actors in a movie, but as people in an incident.
it was horrific and disturbing, only because the writing and performances were so sincere and credible.
It had a good mix of drama and action and i reccommend this to anyone who is looking for an auspicious movie that actually has substance and talented people responsible for it.

jack johnsons music fit the mood of the film beautifully, and the animation style was very eye catching and impressive. this movie can keep the interest of a five year old and also a 50 year old.
it plays on many emotional fields and had a fun, witty ambience about it.
It was well written and it has the right balance of fun, comedy, romance, frustration and sorrow that every well rounded movie should.

I can handle controvercial movies that go over the edge and sex and violence. But this movie had no point and was so inconsistent.
I love William H. Macey as an actor and he did an amazing job in this film.. BUT .. this playwrite turned film left me slightly disturbed and extremely disapointed.
the writing was sloppy and made no real signifigant points. all the intense scenes were just offending and uncalled for.
and most of the characters were so off and on you got bored with how unrealistic any of the characters were
this movie had more loose ends than it did solid thoughts and it was a very pessimistic let down
its sole purpose and only reaction was to make you disgusted and glad youre not edmond.
and the moral of the story is .. dont go see tarot card psychics after work and youll be alright. Was this review helpful? It had passion, perfectly executed tongue-in-cheek wit, solid writing and a style all its own. Its pace and twists left you craving another scene.
The actors were solid, and the writing and direction was beautifully synchornized.
The plot was not over the top and it had enough drama to it to keep the humanity in what was going on and it brought an essence of morality, but left it open for you to make your own mind up.
I recommend this to anyone who likes to poke fun at how ridiculous our society can be and who wants a movie to challenge us to reconsider why we do what we do on a daily basis.

However, I fel that though it was witty, fun and intriguing ... this movie was fairly week and had more potential than what was presented.
The script was pretty slapstick and adolecent, and the writer was probably spining in his chair singing praises to himself at how clever and solid this is. I felt it was a lack luster attempt. IT HAS MASSIVE POTENTIAL ... and some of the scenes are right on the money.. but the other scenes are filler and bland and lack so much substance its like watching a commercial break during a good series.
The actors did well for the most part, but they were limited to the style of the writing.. i got so annoyed with Josh and Lucy everytime they opened their mouths. Ben Kingsly, Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman are so amazing, and did well in this movie.. but it didnt blow me away
It is a fun movie, one to watch, try to guess, laugh, with enough suspense and action to keep your interest.. but when its over and done with, you dont feel much for it.
I genre crossing movies that are a mix of action, mystery, comedy and suspense.. if its done right.
I would highly reccomend the following movies as better ones to watch rather than slevin

sorry if you dont agree with me
but i just wanted this movie to meet its potential and it came so close and it almost had me impressed
