as a response to the 2 reviews below mine, i must say that they need not invoke their religion when writing movie reviews. not everyone is as religious as you are, and not everyone believes in your god, so please keep your devotion for god to yourself! i believe this was a great movie, and should not be slandered by ignorant devout catholics who think christ whould win in everything.

this movie wasnt that great in my opinion. the storyline was way too rushed, and the acting was horrendous. only steve martin was redeemable in this movie, since at least he gave us a few laughs.

Obviously white people have ran out of good ideas for anymoe movies, and so they steal another the plot from another asian movie. First it was The Ring, then The Grudge, and now Internal Affairs! Oh yeah, we dont just steal from the Japanese, now we Americans steal from the Chinese! Get some originality that you people preach that all students should have in school and go make a decent movie that doesnt contain any stolen plot. This movie is just a white version for racist people who dont like watching Asian people act out the real and orginal storyline. So if you are rascist, this movie is just for you.
