Is it Rambo 3, 4 or 5, I just can't remember, they all just seem to run together after a while. If you like action, shoot 'em up, we have to go back to save the damsel in distress that I have fallen in love with, then this is your type of movie. Stallone is getting a little too long in the tooth (too old) for these type of movies and it shows. The funniest part is when Arnold shows up in a cameo appearance and even he has enough sense not to get involved in this type of schtick (after all he does have presidential aspirations) doesn't he? Go see it, but remember this, you've seen it all before, nothing new here.

For anyone who was a victim of the school bully or bullys you have to see this movie, if only because we can empathize with the main character and what he's going through and gain some satisfaction from what he does to overcome the odds. I wish Jackie Chan was around when I was growing up. I especially enjoyed the peek into Chinese culture. I have always admired their sense of discipline and respect for each other the Chinese people exhibit( Americans can sure learn a lot from them). It was really interesting to glimpse the inside of a buddhist monestary and see the monks meditating. Not since the T.V. series Kung Fu in the 1970's with David Carridine have we had a chance to see inside a Shaoline Temple. Having never seen the original Karate Kid I really have nothing else to compare this movie with. However, this movie stands by itself and has a lot to say about the human spirit and our ability to overcome overwhelming odds. The ending is predictable and yet inspiring at the same time.

Oh My God!!! This has to be one of funniest animated movies I have seen since the Incredibles. It has a villain, actually two villans, competing with each other to see who can be the most despicable. The 3 orphans, that one of them adopts, are so adorable and funny at the same time, they made me laugh and cry (happy tears). The movie is very entertaining and you come away with a smile on your face. How many movies recently can you say that made you feel that way? Go see this movie and you be the judge because after all, it's you the movie goer who decides whether or not a movie is worth your time and money. But, be careful you just might leave this one with a smile on your face. Enjoy

What can I say, it's Toy story 3 egad!! While I enjoyed the movie, the animation was again, flawless and the story line all too familiar. There are a few new characters, a scary psycho teddy bear and baby doll, I guess toddlers might not want to hold their teddy bears so much anymore after seeing this teddy bear. But, as for the regular toys we all know and love, it's pretty much the same theme, with Woody and Buzz coming to the rescue and helping the other toys out of a place they don't want to be (a prison for bad toys run by a prison gang and thug). This installment seemed to be darker and scarier than the previous two and the explanation of why the Teddy Bear and Baby Doll were psycho too psychoanalytical for anyone not an adult, it managed to still entertain. But, if your child decides not to want to hold their teddy bear or their baby doll anymore, who can blame them.

This Last Airbender did not disappoint me. I saw it in 3-d and regular 2-d and I have to say it was a little better in 3-d, but not much. As for the two young actors (not the last arbender) they apparently are unknown actors at the time they made this movie and, sad to say, they probably should stay that way. With that being said, the only real criticism of the movie, I did enjoy it very much in spite of some critics panning the movie bcause of the director. I can't wait until the next installment of this series because this is the first installment, water, and I guess the next installment will be earth. Go see it and decide for yourself because in the final analysis you are the movie goer and all that matters is how you like the movie.

The fact that everyone is excited about this movie should tell Hollywood that most movie goers are looking for movies that make you think, that stimulate not only the senses, but also your mind. Leonardo is probably one of the best actors of our time, he sure knows how to deliver the goods when called upon. Yes, the movie does have similarities to Shelter Island and it is 2.5 hours long and boring at some points, but I was grateful for the down time, because I usually have to pick a spot where I can visit the restroom and feel I haven't really missed anything important. It can be confusing to a lot of movie goers whose minds tend to wander and they have trouble watching a movie this long, but you really have to pay attention to what is being said on the screen so you don't miss anything. That being said, go see the movie and judge for yourself, because in the final analysis, you are the movie goer and you have to decide whether or not the movie was worth it.
