As fake as plastic eggs We took our young children to see what we thought would be a fun Easter movie. They liked it enough but they haven't asked to see it again (a good gauge that it wasn't memborable even for them). But for the poor parents spending their money for a family film, it isn't funny and the acting was not very good. If there was a moral to the story, it was completely lost when this grown man was excited to become the Easter Bunny. We don't need to further commercialize Easter. This was a horrible attempt to further hide the real meaning of Easter and the reason we celebrate new life.
For all the money spent producing this and the level of talent involved, it was a waste. It did teach me of one thing, that Easter is really not about bunnies and I will be better at teaching my children the real meaning rather than letting Hollywood teach them their version. If you believe in the meaning of Easter, I can't even recommend you watch this on DVD. If you don't believe in Easter, then don't waste your time because it isn't even entertaining.
