It was my friend's turn to choose a movie, she chose Kit. I went into the movie thinking, this is going to be lame is the biggest way. I *hesitate* liked it. I know, what?! There's no sex, violence, or bad language so of course, I wasn't going to like it. Well I definitly surprised myself. I laughed, smiled, I even covered my eyes at one point because of the suspence (even though I knew nothing really bad was going to happen) I couldn't help myself. It's fun, carefree. An awesome time! I highly recomend this movie to all girls and ladies. Don't even think about dragging a guy to see this movie, that's just cruel and evil. Have fun ladies! Was this review helpful? I was completely suked in from the start, and I wanted more at the end. Great acting. I've never been a huge fan of the blonde chick but I am now. She does a great job in this movie. The lead guy actor is amazing too. He makes you feel everything the character is going through. And you jump for joy when the professor gets his. The plot rocks, of course, this is based on a true story so that helps. The only time the movie slows, in my opinion, is when lead guy and blonde chick get it on. I'm no prude. I'm all for sex in movies, but this part just seemed out of place. I think they should've just given you the impression that they slept together. Anyway, I highly recommed this movie to anyone over 17 who's looking for a good time.

I decided to see this movie on a whim. I'm glad I did. The plot is solid and nicely executed. The movie had a message without being preachy. Lots of great action and friggin awesome fight scenes. The guys are excellent eye candy. There is, of course, the usual is these types of movies. The missunderstood teen, the slightly flaming gay guy, and the wanna be cool-hood kid. The end is surprising. I thought it would end like these teenage, cool vs. missunderstood kid, movies usually do. With the missunder. winning and becoming popular and the cool jerk lonely and miserable. And it didn't, and I like that. The only thing I didn't like is the acting of the lead guy(missunderstood-new kid). He's not the worst but he sure as hell isn't the best. The other guy(cool jerk) is a better actor. Anyway, I would highly recommend this movie to all over the age of 10 years old.

I went into the movie expecting one thing and got another. I guess that's my fault, but I'm not giving it a bad review because it didn't live up to my expectations. I'm giving it a bad review because the movie just isn't all that good. In the first half hour of the movie, my first thought was what happened to these guys. They're great actors, but they're sucing all over the place. Bad dialog and one liners and lots of over acting. Then all the twists and turns. The movie just didn't flow well, it was jerky. I don't know how else to explain that. The plot idea is solid but just poorly executed. I found this movie a bit boring. It felt like a poor imatation of Training Day and Departed. I would suggest seeing this movie, if you're bored and feel like getting out of the house and want to see a cop movie with some action and have nothing better to do-meaning as a last resort. I definitly could've waited to see this on tv.

Bad, bad, bad acting. If ya can look past that then it's an ok movie. The music and dancing, hands down, is THE best part of the movie. The end will get you goin. Except for the lame, tryin to be epic, romantic kiss at the end. If ya like dancing and music I would sugest this film. If ya like your movies to have a plot and decent acting, definitly skip this movie. Oh hell, go see it. You'll enjoy yourself. I know not that short, sue me. :)

If ya like these types of movies you're goin to love this one. All ya have to do is ignore the humans in the movie. Ignore their cheesey dialog and even cheeseier acting, and it's golden. The last fight scene is fricken awesome! I really enjoyed myself. I even laughed, mostly at the silly humans, especially when one said, "the government doesn't lie to us" *falls on the floor laughing*. Anyway, I highly recommend this movie!
Thanks. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 1/9/2008A review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street by movieluvr8 Absolutly brilliant! Tim Burton immediatly sets the tone of the movie with the music in the begining scene, as well as the bloody rain falling staining everything it hits. The movie flows well, and the plot is simple and to the point. If ya like Tim Burton's stuff you'll love this, he doesn't let you down. And Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Alan Rickman all give awesome preformances. What really stunned me was how Sweeney Todd killed with ease, not batting an eyelash, as if it was an everyday thing easy as you please. You definitly feel his, you all should die including me, attitude throughout the movie especially since he even sings it. I saw the ending coming a mile away. You'd have to be really not paying attention not to see it, and it fit. Overall, I can't wait to see it again when the DVD comes out!
Thanks. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 1/3/2008A review of The Golden Compass by movieluvr8 It didn't have as much action as I thought it would. The best part was with the Polar Bears. Over all the movie is ok, but it's slow. Just too slow. This is definitly not a movie for young children. I'd say 9 and above. I wouldn't go see this movie again. I hope, if they do make a second movie, it's better than this.

I laughed until the cows came home. The lingo is fun, and the one liners are a hoot. The plot is strong, and it's not all fun and games there are serious moments-not many. All the characters are likeable. I especially like the part when the stepmom goes off on the technician, and the part about babies and fingernails. The movie never slows down. I like the ending, hell I love the whole thing!
Thanks Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 1/2/2008A review of Atonement by movieluvr8 The best way I can describe the movie is a bunch of snap shots, like a slide show on a computer. The movie has a plot but it doesn't move or flow. It's like one minute you're here and the next boom you're four years later, then boom 3 weeks earlier. What happens in between that. You don't get to see it, you're told what happens. It just felt like a slide show on a computer to me. The scenery is brilliant and the story idea is good, it's just poorly executed. If they gave a little more detail the movie would've flowed better. It was also slow especially in the beginning Over all ok, but nothing to write home about. I did laugh at one point, but only because someone had fallen asleep and was snoring loudly.
Thanks! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 10/23/2007A review of 30 Days of Night by movieluvr8 I loved the trailer, and I love comic book movies, so I was looking forward to this movie. I was dissappointed, to say the least. It wasn't scary at all and didn't have all that much gore either. It did have cheesey lines and an even cornier love story. A fricken love story in the middle of all this! It just didn't fit. Oh and it didn't flow well. One minute it's the 1st day of the 30 days of night and the next minute it's the 18th day and then oh my god we have only one day left of night. There was no build up, no suspense. And you would think they would actually show you more of the gory stuff in a movie like this but they turn the camera away just as it gets yucky. But not always they do show some of it. And wait, what happened to Ben Foster's body. It just up and walked away all by its self. I went with a friend who's a real wimp when it comes to these types of movies. She was yawning. And another person in the audience kept making snoring noises every so often. In the car ride home my friend and I were laughing our butts off at all stupid crap in the movie. We wasted our money. There were some entertaining parts but they were few and far between, and the movie starts off really slow and doesn't really pick up untill the end. Oh, and talk about cheesey ending. Maybe I've seen too many scary movies. But if I were you I wouldn't waste my money like we did. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 10/3/2007A review of Resident Evil: Extinction by movieluvr8 What happened, that's what I'd like to know! The first two are great! This third one falls short big time. It doesn't have as much action to it and the plot #$%&s. The first two have both a strong plot and action that keeps the movie moving. This one seemed a bit slow and old. Ya know like you've seen it before over and over again. And what about all the cheesy dialogue. What happen to the writers with this movie did they get infected with the virus? The fighting at the end was pretty good. I saw this movie a week ago and I'm already forgetting most of it. The first two made more of an inpact. The movie did relieve my boredom for the night, but that's not saying much. So if ya want something entertaining to do I guess you could go see this movie, but I would suggest 3:10 to Yuma-Brilliant movie, great action, and strong plot! Was this review helpful?
