As a female and a huge Denzel Washington fan, I hate seeing him play the villian in any movie. I couldn't even sit through "Training Day." Denzel please stick to more distinguished roles because I get turned off when you play the "bad guy." Killing Idris Elba character in the movie broke by heart cause next to Denzel, Idris is the man. Denzel shouldn't have been in the movie at all, Idris should have played Denzel's role, what was Cuba Gooding, Jr point in the movie, why did T.I play a good guy in the movie, but a thug in real life, I know it's just me. I was very disappointed. I agree with most who thought the previews were much better. Althought I was not surprised by Miss Beyonce whose character should have been a breeze for her, seeing how she stole the scene from Destiny Child. But overall the movie was a bore, Eddie Murphy might keep your attention, until he kills himself, yes he was the funeral scene, not one of the girls. And Jamie Foxx, I was disappointed with his role, since he is an Oscar Winner. People Dont Waste Your Money. Wait For it To Come on ABC!!!!!!! Was this review helpful? I really enjoyed their performances in this movie and it made me grow to like them as entertainers. I really liked the 1930s set-up, the cast, the dancing and the music, the music was really the best part to me, some of the songs had me dancing in my seat. And Andre, I always thought he was the weird one out of the duo, but ladies you might fall in love with him after you see him act this film, and Big Boi I dont know much about him, but it seems like he kept it real in this movie. But overall it is a pretty good movie, I did a little laughing and crying, and if you havent seen it or still undecided, I would definitely recommend Idlewild. Was this review helpful?
