You gave me the correct courage to take my 81 yr old dad along. Finally a movie we could enjoy together. I laughed so hard, my nose started honking in the quiet parts. Thanks to BBC for recognizing the Engenious work of an American Icon.
I loved the location shots. I recognized the India Restaurant, and Mitre pub from my trips to Greenwich England. My ancestors are barried beneth it.It is just down the Thames from downtown London.
Ironically, they are within walking distance to were I had to go to see Celebrity. Woodys movie from a few years ago. It needs rereleased in the US. It never got as far as Houston. Hugh Jackman was fine in Scoop, but give me Robert Cuccioli from Broadway any day.
What I did not like about this movie was not its fault. I hated having to work so hard to find it playing. Once I did find it, I was disappointed with the previews of the other movies. I doubt I will step into that Theater again. I ended up booing some of them. It did not help our jovial mood in going to see this one. Dad was ready to leave before Scoop ever got to the screen. Thanks again to Yall. And to Mr Allen who is always the same and always a riot of a writer. Imagine making Texas his next locale!?!
