This movie did not have a strong story-line, although it managed its way through without boring us . Shades of Descent and possibly I am legend , poor Dennis Quaid in an less challenging role {again} . 3 stars , could have been better!

i have experienced more tension and suspense on the toilet after a night out at the local indian restaurant . A waste of time and money , sadly.

i too was thoroughly enjoying this movie, right up to the scene when our hero speaks to a lady by the pool. i do not consider myself to be the smartest person in the world, but i totallly lost the plot or storyline after this point. mmm... bit of a shame about the ending realy.

Posted: 3/23/2008A review of Sleuth by soldierblue68
Oh kenneth, what were you thinking ? I was so looking forward to this remake and could not imagine how dissapointed i would be. From the beginning the photography was uncomfortable , the acting not quite believable. I wonder is this a case of mr brannagh being too creative as a director, or, did mr brannagh lose the plot? The house itself was too much, there was no chemistry between mr caine and mr law even when the movie spirallled into some kind of awkward , embarrassing gay twist. simply horrible. i was almost squirming in my seat feeling so bad for mr caine having to endure this direction. holy crap kenneth, did you see the original!

great movie, as dennis is perfectly cast as a very naughty , naughty young man. some very disturbing scenes , beautifully acted and well timed . a very enjoyable , uncomfortable ride with the drunken hopper driving. coool.

sometimes i wonder why some of these slightly fading hollywood stars do not try roles like this more often. what a great shot in the arm it must be to play a serial killer, not only for their own creative satisfaction but for their fans to get excited about. i am not a costner fan but this movie was pretty cool and also nice to see demi moore looking cute mature. good job .

i am wondering if they wrote this movie as they went, shoot a scene , then write the next. nothing remotely interesting happened in this very uneventful movie.

Posted: 6/17/2007A review of Contact by soldierblue68
if we are ever to someday contact aliens, one could imagine this as an almost plausible scenario of how it would take place. what better story teller than a true life astro physicist, scientist ,than carl sagan himself , the movie gives hope and wonder to all those earthlings who are passionate about sci fi. this movie is out there, so....wanna take a ride!

Posted: 5/23/2007A review of Spider-Man 3 by soldierblue68
the new characters or villains were under-developed in this high budget, cgi , special effects extravaganza. it was indeed a shame. the movie mis-managed the time constraints and left us with some great action sequences, but not much else.
