All reviews by user Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 1 users found this helpful  BordertownPosted: 10/31/2007A review of Bordertown by miasol0 i can't wait to see this movie. in october 2006 i went to El Paso in search of purchasing some homes there and visiting some relatives in which they live about 3 minutes from Juarez Border and my aunt had just purchased a very nice Cinderella dress for her daughter and only paid $25.00 usd in juarez. i know so i went on a tuesday afternoon with her and my 4year old daughter to get fitted for 4 dresses. we were there for about 3 hours looking at the different shops buying a tons of things. So ok i'm a pretty tall lady 5'8 so i was buy far taller than most of the hispanic locals there, so you can say that i stuck out like a sore thumb in a crowd and my daughter a very cute kid while we were there i felt so unsafe, my stomach hurts just thinking of it a guy grabbed my daughter while we were going to the car. I was grabbed,rubbed,and anything you could possiably think of. i will never go there again i've never felt so violated in my life. i feel that this movie will shed some much needed light on what goes on there. and the locals get the picture that tourist could bring some much needed more in that city. But with a reputation with the one that Juarez has i don't think that anyone feels comfortable to visit. Or i won't go again. ( i spent 350.00 while i was there) Was this review helpful?
