Heath Ledger was not memorable as the Joker, Nicholson played it MUCH better. I kept waiting for the big scene where the Joker really stands out but it never comes. The story was way too long, it was one of those movies I found myself looking at my watch wondering if it would be over soon.
There was way too much story around Batman wanting to retire, looking for a hero to replace him and the people calling for Batman to turn himself in because he is a vigilante??? WHAT??? since when would the public be crying out for a vigilante to turn himself in with a madman killing people at will?? Come on I don't know what world the writers live in but in this universe a vigilante like Batman would have a higher approval rating than Obama the day after election. Was this review helpful?
