It respects that premise and offers an intriguing movie to the viewer.
The on-screen talent -
Matt Berry. Robin Chalk, Dominique McElligott. Sam Rockwell, Kaya Scodelari, Malcolm Stewart and Benedict Wong - bring intelligence to their roles. Kevvin Spacey sounds good. Was this review helpful? Her brother searches the area. A disfigured, masked murderer has Whitney chained up in an abandoned mine. And college kids spending time at a lakeside cabin get killed.
Director, Marcus Nispel makes no bones about what he is delivering and, for the most part, it works.
Actors, Julie Berman, Andrea Bogart, Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker and the rest are fine.
It was fun to watch. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 1/29/2009A review of Rosemary's Baby by EastWestPlayer Director Roman Polanski gives us a very suspenseful movie about a young woman who discovers that her baby may be that of the devil's.
Adapted from Ira Levin's horror bestseller, the movie works, mainly because we are teased along the way with the possibility that this is the case. Polanski does a good job of never showing any horrible images and letting our imagination conjure up the possibilities.
Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes play the lead characters with great skill. Was this review helpful? I liked the fact that the burglars were not "cool." They fumbled the ball a lot. I ike "real" actors.
It was wonderfully directed by Sidney Lumet Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-4 of 4 Per Page |
