This movie was dragging on, and on, and on, and on... Robert Downey Jr. was the only decent actor, but even he could not salvage this horribly boring picture. Now, to the movie... It was a bit slow and overacted. Tried to send a message that being a pothead is not good, but it was a feable attempt and the message came through fainter than a candle placed on the floor in a remote corner. You get the idea... There were some really funny moments: I especially enjoyed the Vicodin comment and the ear scene. Overall, sends the wrong message. Was this review helpful? Ledger's performance was chilling, although was sad to watch knowing it may have contrubuted to his suicide. He truly did carry the whole film, which made it no less entertaining. Bale was just ok for my taste. He was actually quite annoying as the Batman, especially with his unnaturally deep voice.
I left the theater very disturbed and unhappy. There was something in this movie that brought to light and, perhaps, even glorified a bit the horrible part of human nature. I did not like that. While it was cute, the agenda behind it made it quite unpleasant to watch. It actually reminded me of the depressing movie called "Happy Feet." This movie $@#%ed big time! I expected something funny, and instead got vile disgusting crap. Male genitalia all over the screen, deradation of both men and women. I am not a prude, but, if genitals to be shown, at least do it in context!

I think acting was seriously lacking. I was not drawn in to the story, but was constantly aware that they (especially Parker) were acting. Hmmm... Maybe it is because I never watched the TV series. Now, I don't think I would have enjoyed that either. Two stars for Sex in the City, I honestly can't give it more. Sorry folks! Was this review helpful?
