The album starts off with a bang and doesn't end quietly. Tracks like Gematria and This cold Black contain elements from Iowa and others like Dead Memories contain elements from Stone Sour. This isn't a bad thing though because with Vol. 3 they experimented with a hard rock like chorus and guitar solos. some of the heavier tracks will be a welcome for past fans.
