Paris shows off her new ring in Las Vegas on March 7.

Recent photos of Paris Hilton snuggling up to newly minted beau Benji Madden have all the warmth of a polar bear eating a snow cone on an ice floe, but rumors continue to run rampant that their weeks-old romance is on fast-forward. The attention-dependent starlet raised eyebrows in Las Vegas on Friday as she flashed a new bauble -- a diamond ring on her all-important finger that was emblazoned with the letters "B.M." The super-cheesy sparkler, which joins the rock-encrusted "B" she's been wearing around her neck, further fuels speculation that Paris could be hoping to one-up BFF Nicole Richie by locking down Joel Madden's twin brother. "For the first time, I know what this is all about. He is gentle and kind and quiet, and just being together is good enough for us," Paris stiltedly enthuses to Robin Leach's Luxe Life of the Good Charlotte guitarist. "We're having the best time. It's way too soon to think or talk about where this goes, but it's truly beautiful. I am on cloud nine and I couldn't be happier. We both have the same interests so we're just having a grand time together." Echoes Benji, whose new squeeze treated him to an early birthday celebration, complete with an enormous cake and photo op, "We are having the greatest time together. It's just beautiful."

Will Eliza Dushku soon get her own animated alter ego? OK! reports the former "five-by-five"-spouting Faith from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is seeing Seth MacFarlane, the creator of "Family Guy" and "American Dad" (he also voices many of the characters, including the inimitable Stewie). "They met through mutual friends," an insider tells the mag. "They're enjoying each other's company so far. He makes her laugh a lot and she really enjoys good laughs and good conversation."

Subtlety isn't exactly Mischa Barton's strong suit. Last week in Los Angeles, the style-challenged starlet enjoyed a smooch-fest with a hipster-looking type in full view of the paparazzi. According to People, her tonsil hockey partner is Rooney guitarist Taylor Locke. The budding flames were later spotted getting hands-on after one of the band's performances, with Barton "holding him around the waist and kissing him on the lips." Mischa is no stranger to the music scene, although the indie-coiffed Locke appears to be a step up from her hirsute, droopy-drawered rocker ex, Cisco Adler.

Josh Hartnett and Helena Christensen have long denied reports they're an item, and now the New York Daily News agrees with them. The paper says the uni-browed actor and the veteran Danish supermodel are kaput after nearly a year of surreptitious coupledom. A snitch claims the supposed bust-up between the longtime pals happened "within the last week." Hartnett, who was briefly linked last year to a pre-Javier Bardem Penélope Cruz and a pre-Chris Brown Rihanna, set off romantic speculation last summer when he and Christensen turned up together at an Irish music festival.

Sienna Miller and Rhys Ifans at Heathrow Airport in London on Feb. 26

Has Sienna Miller finally given in to Rhys Ifans' rumored entreaties to be his wife? That's the word from the London Sunday Mirror, which says the gangly actor's third time down on one knee proved to be the charm. The midair makeout-disposed duo is purportedly planning to pledge their eternal troth this summer. "Rhys has admitted he and Sienna are getting married," an insider tells the tab. "Everything is supposed to be hush-hush, but Rhys is over the moon and finding it hard to keep quiet ... he can't believe she finally said yes." Sienna's supposedly affirmative answer comes a month after the Daily Mail claimed the actor had given her an "I do" ultimatum, with a mole asserting at the time, "He has asked Sienna to marry him and it's the last time he will ask. He wants everyone to know they are officially an item." The duo, who hooked up last summer, have been the subject of engagement speculation since November, when Ifans purportedly asked for Miller's hand with a poem titled, "Marry This Misfit," which is said to have sent the previously Jude Law-betrothed actress into a giggle-fit until she realized he was serious.
