Tonight's Picks
Dexter9:00 PM, SHO
Takes one to know one. Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is shaken by an encounter with a kindred spirit -- a guy with a compulsion. But instead of being compelled to kill bad guys, this dude's got a thing for children. Dexter wants to take him out of commission, but his personal code prohibits him from killing anyone who hasn't taken a life. His friendship with Miguel (Jimmy Smits) also causes Dexter some heartburn in the new episode "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."

Nick News Special Edition9:00 PM, NICK
As she has every election since 1992, Linda Ellerbee takes kids' questions to the two presidential candidates. Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama sit down with the veteran journalist, and each candidate tackles the same questions. Ellerbee has been explaining the issues to kids all year. Among the questions the candidates will hear is this one from Alex, 13, of Oakland, Calif.: "What are your plans to reduce global warming?"

The Unit10:00 PM, CBS
It's called killing two birds -- or nabbing two baddies -- with one stone. In this new episode, Jonas (Dennis Haysbert) discovers that the man the team is counting on to lead them to a nuclear weapons smuggler is engaged in an illicit activity of his own: sex slavery. Jonas promises to rescue his "merchandise," which could prove tricky if the team wants to keep on the guy's good side. Robert Patrick also stars in "Sex Trade."

Formula One Racing4:30 PM, SPEED
The third-to-last race of the Formula One season brings its drivers to Fuji Speedway outside Tokyo for the Japanese Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton hydroplaned his way to victory last year on the 4.563-kilometer road course, as heavy rain made for an accident-marred race that saw the day end early for a number of drivers, among them Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. At this writing, Hamilton had a slim lead over Felipe Massa in the F1 driver standings.

America's Funniest Home Videos7:00 PM, ABC
It's hard to believe, but this show has been on the air for 19 years! It makes you wonder what we laughed at 20 years ago. In this new episode, a boy tries to free his father, whose arm is stuck in a car's power window; medical students play practical jokes on their instructor (nothing is funnier than sickos); and a man becomes the target of a bird. All in all, it's your typical week -- brought to you by people with video cameras.

Out for a Kill7:00 PM, SPIKE
Nobody goes into a Steven Seagal movie expecting "Citizen Kane," but as action flicks go, some Seagals are better than others. This one from 2003 would be one of the "others." The plot has his character, an archaeology professor, kicking Chinese mob butt after being framed for drug smuggling. Maybe it's the far-fetched plot or the weak script, but it's far from -- and some may consider this an oxymoron -- Seagal's best.

Valentine8:00 PM, CW
Grace's (Jaime Murray) affair with Ray (Patrick Fabian) grinds to a halt when her, husband Ari (Greg Ellis), the god of war, returns home. Ari then tries to persuade Danny (Kristoffer Polaha) to leave the love business and come work for him. But Danny is too preoccupied with his own plans to retrieve his love gun and get rid of the meddlesome Kate (Christine Lakin). Meanwhile, the gods must bring true love into the life of a geeky perfume chemist.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition8:00 PM, ABC
In this new episode, the team visits Richland Center, Wis., to rescue the Anders-Beatty family from its crumbling home. The water damage, peeling roof and nesting critters lend to this home a dreadful appearance and have left it in dangerous disrepair. Rochelle Anders has been an excellent first-grade teacher for the past 29 years and has four children of her own. When her husband died suddenly of a heart attack, she tried to repair the home herself.

NFL Football8:15 PM, NBC
What looked to be a preview of a possible AFC championship matchup -- New England at San Diego -- will now be tinged with "what might have been" talk. Without Tom Brady, the Patriots lost a QB edge over most every other NFL team, and Matt Cassel isn't capable of making it up. Losing Brady would be like the Chargers without all-world runner LaDainian Tomlinson. He's been slowed by nagging nicks, but the alternative would be devastating. Ask the Pats.

Easy Money9:00 PM, CW
After finding possible proof that he is not related to the only family he has ever known, Morgan (Jeff Hephner) investigates his secret past even further. Beautiful grad student Julia Miller (Marsha Thomason) believes her research confirms that Morgan isn't related to either of his siblings. Brandy's (Katie Lowes) husband, Mike (Joe Peracchio), frustrates her with quick-money schemes. Meanwhile, Morgan confronts a thuggish new rival.

Casper Meets Wendy9:00 PM, DISN
1995's "Casper" was fun, but this 1998 sequel is as unsubstantial as, well, a ghost. While vacationing at a resort with his uncles, the friendly ghost meets good little witch Wendy (Hilary Duff), who's staying there with her aunts (Cathy Moriarty, Shelley Duvall, Teri Garr). Wendy's aunts don't trust ghosts, and Casper's uncles have a similar prejudice against witches, but the two friends defy their guardians to stop an evil warlock (George Hamilton). Aww ... or not.

Desperate Housewives9:00 PM, ABC
In this new episode, Danielle (Joy Lauren), Bree's (Marcia Cross) estranged daughter, returns to Wisteria Lane and is overwhelmed by criticism. Susan and Gaby (Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker) end up in a catfight, and Lynette (Felicity Huffman) is annoyed when she finds out that Tom and Dave (Doug Savant, Neal McDonough) have formed a band. Katherine and Mrs. McCluskey (Dana Delany, Kathryn Joosten) invite Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) to lunch.
